Overview
Nankai University is the first university in China to offer undergraduate education in tourism since 1981.
It is also one of the first institutions with the right to grant a Master of Science in Tourism Management, Master in Tourism Administration (Professional Degree) and the PhD in Tourism Management. Nankai University also holds the role of the secretariat of China National MTA Education Supervisory Committee.
The College of Tourism and Service Management occupies its own building with a hotel nearby. It has about 500 undergraduate and 185 postgraduate students with 38 academic staff and 38 support staff. With 38 years of development, the college has graduated over 5,000 outstanding alumni currently working in many departments of tourism administration, NGOs, hotels, airlines, and travel service industries in over 30 countries.
