Overview
IBM Cloud Private is an application platform for developing and managing on-premises, containerized applications. It includes the container orchestrator Kubernetes, a private image repository, a management console, and monitoring frameworks. In this course, you learn how to install and configure IBM Cloud Private components in your environment, and how to prepare microservices applications for deployment.

The ideal candidate for this course has a basic understanding of cloud computing, and a working knowledge of developing microservices. Experience with using Docker, and familiarity with YAML is also a plus.

Introduction to IBM Cloud Private
In this module, you learn about what IBM Cloud Private is, and what it can do. You also explore IBM Cloud Private architecture and components.

Introduction to Kubernetes
In this module, you learn about what Kubernetes is and what it can do. You also explore Kubernetes architecture and basic concepts. If you are already familiar with Kubernetes, you can skip this module, but you must complete the graded quiz - Unit 2 assessment - at the end of the module.

Set up your environment
In this module, you learn how to prepare your environment for installation, install IBM Cloud Private, and access your cluster.

Deploy and manage applications on IBM Cloud Private
In this module, you learn how to deploy an application to a Kubernetes cluster on IBM Cloud Private.
